Info:
"Any lucky owner of Binary Star's limited-distribution pressing of the 1999 LP Waterworld would already be familiar with most of the material on Masters of the Universe. It has everything a great hip-hop album requires, with varied beats, differing rhyme deliveries, and content you'll find yourself thinking about long after it's been said. Unfortunately, without a huge marketing budget from a major label, this album will probably fail to reach the level of success it deserves, but then again, Binary Star isn't necessarily after the typical ideal of success."

Info:
"The concept of "The Old Prince" is one that we can all relate to and understand. To sum it up, princes aren't supposed to be old because they are supposed to become kings before they become old. Applied universally, the idea is that we all want to do great things and as times passes we become impatient and begin to wonder whether our time has passed. Shad's album captures his own conflict with the idea of being an old prince. [...] Shad's ability to relate his own triumphs and insecurities to the rest of us allows him to create one of the best albums released in the past year." - Pedro 'DJ Complejo' Hernandez

You better watch your fucking back if you cross Kool G. Rap. The lost art of story telling. Where these modern day hardcore rappers fall is where Kool G. Rap prevailed. Painting an image throughout his lyrics, keeping the listener on the edge as he busts a few slugs through some poor suckers skull. LL Cool J is hard as hell?? um no... Kool G. Rap is.

Info:
While not easily digestible for the faint of heart. One Be Lo is a rappers - rapper (he's fucking lyrical in other words) and the whole album may go over your head. It's dark, it's moody, it's the "The glass is half empty.. and then some" type of shit, and the production meshes perfectly.

The whole style of the album is unique, definitely not for party jams, it's perfect for listening late at night (or any time of the day) all by yourself.

Just take a listen for yourself.

Info:
This group features one of my favorite producers/emcees - Insight, and four other emcees Dagha, Ra, MoePope & Anonymous. It's one very short album clocking in at only 38 minutes, but it's a great listen. The whole album is down-to-earth and has a very fun, positive vibe. There's no cursing, or gunplay so if you have kids, they could enjoy it too.

Info:
A little different than my previous adventures. First off, they are a live (8 Member) band, and they are from Australia. Yeah, that Australia. Aside from the differences they still have a lot to offer internationally. Their sound is very smooth and energetic, and the album is consistent throughout.

When I first saw the cover art, I truly didn't know what to expect, and that's the best thing about this album. It's a very funky and jazzy reminiscence of the golden age. While Damu the fudgemunk supplies the beats, Insight recites the rhymes making it a highly enjoyable album.

MC Framework lays it down on the mic and producers E-train and TouchPhonics supply the backdrop. The whole album is great from start to finish -- lyricism is on point and the beats hit hard.
