Info:
"Illinoize is a free remix tape put together by Montreal-based producer Tor, sampling songs from multi-instrumentalist and indie hero, Sufjan Stevens. Tracks are sampled from his 2005 LP Illinoise, as well as 3 of his other albums, 'A Sun Came', 'Seven Swans' and 'Songs for Christmas', blending Sufjan Steven's acoustic guitar, piano and horns with MC's Aesop Rock, Big Daddy Kane, Gift of Gab (Blackalicious), C.L. Smooth, Outkast, Brother Ali, and Grand Puba."

Rich textured instrumentals. Mixes nostalgia with a melancholy calming feel to the tracks. Vocal/Instrumental versions available.

"RADIx is a two man team out of Boston comprised of Quite Nyce and Seek. When I say team I really mean that shit, these dudes work off each other really well. RADIx really has been building up a rep lately touring extensively and "The Staple" should only continue to push them in positive directions. Throwing together a guest list with the likes of Mista Sinista, Mr. Eon, DJ JS1, Insight, and Akrobatik doesn't hurt either." ...

"While most kids wrote a mediocre college essay with the hopes of getting into a good college after high school, Maspyke recorded a 3 song demo with the hopes of getting signed by a good label. And while other kids signed up for classes at so-and-so state, the boys of Maspyke signed with Elektra Records/Head Up Entertainment just one year after leaving high school. Almost three years later, after recording with gold and platinum artists and rejecting any and all of the industry’s attempts to mold them into whatever was hot at the moment, group members Roddy Rod, Hanif Jamiyl, and Tableek departed the security of a major label to pursue their own vision. With little idea what lay ahead, the Springfield, MA natives set out to carve their own niche in the ever-growing world of hip-hop. Their goal? The creation of Static." ..

Info
If you know Class B you might know he's one fifth of Forgotten Lores, one half of The BeatMachine Bandits and one of the three founders of CoxButter. If you don't know him, well now you know.

And it's propably best if we tell you about our third releas in his own words: "Few years ago I had the idea of making an album where I'd get one beat from every producer I'm friends with and wanted to work with. This was around 2003 when we in FL were finishing our debut, Týndi Hlekkurinn. A few beats here, a song there, and I kept writing and trying to get better ideas for songs in between dealing with the every day shit. Since the start of this process I've been drifting from country to country, jobplace to jobplace and in and out of school. The songs on Upset EP are the offspring of these travels, written and recorded in Helsinki, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and at home in good'ole Reykjavik (and maybe some other places, I can't remember). But somehow the idea of getting one beat from each producer didn't work out and I ended up in Intro's home studio in Copenhagen where I asked him to finish the EP with me. Which he did, fortunately, otherwise I'd propably still be sitting on these tracks..."

"The dark wet streets sparkle with reflections of neon signs, break lights and mercury lamps. A pulsating aura emanates from cavernous bars, who's dim atmosphere provides a solace from the harsh reality of daytime life. The drizzle doesn't impede large crowds from lining the sidewalks, and if anything, adds to the overall brilliance by covering everything in a glistening mist. Almost everyone is in costume - bright clothing, futuristic hairstyles, metal chains, spikes, necklaces, ear-nose-lip-brow ring-studs, over-sized fake-diamond-encrusted glasses. Maybe this is the future we read about in sci-fi novels (minus all the post-apocalyptic drama). [...]" ...

Info:
"While not exactly sounding just like the old school, Time Machine (emcees Comel and Jaysonic and DJ Mekalek) do function on an old school principle: find the right sample and the right drum break and make something dope by looping the sublime. The reviewer's left a bit adrift in an attempt to explain the quality of the music because the goodness doesn't rest in originality or compositional genius. This is music that's good for its warmth, its reverie, its proud flaws and rough edges, its intangibles. One thing's certain: Mekalek's got a Midas touch on his vinyl, and Comel and Jaysonic know how to rhyme over his bullion." ..
